Zendaya Designs her First Shoe Collection

By Stephanie Martinez

Disney Channel star, singer, producer and“it” girl can now add designer to her resume.

Zendaya finally came out with her own shoe collection and it’s quite affordable too!

This girl is ambitious, and someone to admire. It was recently announced that Zendaya would be part of the cast for the new movie Spiderman: Homecoming film at Comic Con, which makes it seem that there’s nothing she can’t do.

It’s been almost a year since Zendaya announced her shoe collection in a preview last August. She collaborated with her stylist, Law Roach, who will also be part of the panel on the new season of ANTM, alongside Rita Ora and Ashley Graham. Her shoe line, Daya, is available in Nordstrom and the prices ranges from $70 – $110, which is reasonably priced for someone who wants to look great while on a budget.

“The kind of women we’re targeting are real women [who] want a good shoe they can wear to their job interviews, but still be stylish and not break the bank,” she told People. “But it’s not like that typical look for less. No, these are dope shoes and you don’t have to spend three years trying to buy them.”

Her line consists of 12 styles that range from flats to cutout block-heel boots, which are great for any occasion.

Her inspiration for her collection?

Zendaya told InStyle, “I was inspired by the women in my life: my oldest sister, my niece, my little nieces who will soon be wearing heels, you know, because they’re all working women who are either in college, or a mother, or a young girl who is still in school and about to go to her first school dance.”

Not only is she thinking about women, but she also wants boys to rock her shoes too! She says,

“I think that women–and not just women because boys rock heels too–deserve to have something that feels not like a look for less, you know? Something that feels like the look. It doesn’t feel like a knockoff.”

Zendaya’s line is sure to be best-seller. And now her followers will have to wait and see what the icon will do next.
