Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Canceled After 20 Seasons

After twenty seasons, Keeping up with the Kardashians has decided to come to an end, leaving agonized fans confused as to why this decision was made.

On September 8th, Kim Kardashian shocked audiences with an Instagram post in which she wrote a heartfelt note explaining how the reality TV show would be coming to a close with a final season airing in 2021. She detailed her gratitude for all that the show has done for her as well as her fans. “This show made us who we are, and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever,” she stated in her Instagram post

To our amazing fans – It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians. After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way. Thank you to the thousands of individuals and businesses that have been a part of this experience and, most importantly, a very special thank you to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner, and our production team at Bunim/Murray, who’ve spent countless hours documenting our lives. Our last season will air early next year in 2021. Without Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever. With Love and Gratitude, Kim

Keeping Up with the Kardashians was a significant part of many young people’s lives growing up. While I was not an avid viewer of the show, I tuned in once in a while to see what family drama was taking place at the time. This show exposed viewers to an in-depth look at a very wealthy close-knit family living in California and their journey to extreme fame.

Going back in time, let us remember one of the most memorable moments of the popular TV show- Kim Kardashian losing her diamond earring in the ocean. The video clip of this moment has shown up on almost every social media platform with fans notably enjoying Kourtney Kardashian yelling in the background, “Kim, there’s people that are dying.”

Other memorable moments are Kim and Kanye’s relationship, Caitlyn Jenner’s transition, Kim taking a selfie while her sister goes to jail, Kylie mistaking a pig for a chicken, and so much more.

The Kardashian-Jenner family has been probably the most influential, successful family of all time. Kylie Jenner launched Kylie Cosmetics and had people rushing to get every lip kit they could. Kim Kardashian came out with KKW Beauty, KKW Fragrance, and even an interactive app. Khloe Kardashian is the owner of Good American jeans, and Kourtney is the owner of the website Poosh. Kendall Jenner is a top model, and Kris Kardashian is the “momager” of it all.

While the closing of this show brings great sadness to all of us who were deeply touched and influenced by these individuals, there is no doubt that they will continue to inspire their audience for years to come.
