TV’s Best-Dressed Characters

With hundreds of TV shows to pick from, it can be hard to find a good Friday night binge-worthy show. One way to cut out the noise and get the best of the best in a show is to look to the clothes. A show is only as good as its’ characters’ wardrobes. Okay, maybe that isn’t entirely true, but a show whose characters dress well is going to be more memorable. There are some characters that have viewers saying, “What is she going to wear next?” rather than “What is going to happen next?” Here are some of the TV characters that have people coming back for more because of their closets; maybe more so than the shows’ storylines.

  1. Mindy Kaling as Mindy Lahiri in The Mindy Project

Mindy Project main character in yellow dress.

Mostly known for her loud quirky personality around the office as an OB/GYN, Mindy also has a great sense of style. Mindy’s clothes are just as bold as she is as she wears bright colors and playful prints, but still remains sophisticated. Her PhD pays off allowing her closet to be filled with designer clothing ranging from Alice + Olivia to Dolce and Gabbana.

  1. Issa Rae as Issa Dee and Yvonne Orji as Molly Carter in Insecure

These two women may be young and struggling in their work and personal life, but somehow they always look put together. Issa has a cool laid back LA style consisting of cool graphic tees and sweaters paired with printed blazers while Molly maintains sophisticated and poised with many structured dresses and pant suits.

  1. Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom in Riverdale

There is no mystery that these three teens have closets that are way too good to be true. The real question is when do they have time to pick out these clothes while solving mysteries. Betty always stays classic with collared shirts and sweaters and Veronica keeps her charm with her signature pearl necklace and polished dresses. Cheryl is a vision in red everything and maybe sometimes a villain in red, too.

  1. Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green in Friends

With 90’s fashion back in style, everyone wishes they could raid Rachel’s closet now. Rachel’s style became just as iconic as the show because of her slip dresses, overalls and mini-skirts. Rachel’s wardrobe is probably enough to convince someone to work in fashion just as she did.

  1. Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City

Though it’s impossible to believe Carrie was able to afford any of her clothes on a writer’s salary, every girl dreams that they could be Carrie. Her closet was filled with the best designer pieces from tulle skirts to gorgeous fur coats to shoes galore, but what separates Carrie from other TV characters is how she put looks together into something people didn’t expect and made them intrigued to see more.
