Marc Jacobs beauty is bringing back a cult classic product while Glossier creates a new one. There’s drama between beauty influencers and brands, and celebs are pairing up to cross-promote their beauty brands. On top of it all, Paris Fashion Week brings a close to a seemingly never ending fashion month.
Glossier Launches Lidstar
Glossier first teased a new product on the eyelids of none other than Beyonce back in January at the Grammys. Now the product has officially launched on yet another red carpet at the Oscars. Stars like Tracee Ellis Ross, Taraji Henson, and Allison Janney wore the glowing liquid eyeshadows on the Oscars red carpet. Lidstar is a glistening eye glow that comes in 6 iridescent soft shades. The formula is described as a creamy wash of twinkling color that lasts 12 hours on lids.
Marc Jacobs Reveals Coconut Collection
The beauty vlogger acclaimed limited edition Marc Jacobs coconut bronzer is back and with a few bronzey rose gold friends. Along with the iconic O!Mega 104 Tan-Tastic bronzer, the collection will include an Eye-Conic rose gold eyeshadow palette, a new rose gold shade of the Coconut Gel Highlighter Dew Drops and a translucent coconut setting powder. The Coconut Collection launches on marcjacobsbeauty.com on April 24th and at Sephora on May 11th, just in time for summer.
Jeffree Star Dropped from Kylie’s PR List
Jeffree Star typically receives PR from Kylie Cosmetics, but after a few brutally honest reviews of past launches, the brand decided to kick Jeffree off their PR list and not send him their latest Weather collection. Jeffree discussed the hypocrisy of this all and his distaste for Kylie’s actions in a series of Tweets. Ever since Kylie Cosmetics first launched in 2016, Jeffree has had no problem conveying his true feelings about the products. He, like many, was not a fan of the brands initial lip gloss launch, and also gave a less than positive review of Kylie’s $360 makeup brushes.
Madonna and Kim K Talk Beauty in LA
Kim Kardashian and Madonna hosted a beauty lesson session called MDNA Skin Meets KKW Beauty in LA for an audience of beauty influencers, bloggers and editors. The talk, hosted by Kandee Johnson, was filled with beauty advice from both Madonna and Kim K. They discussed their beauty routines, how to depuff your eyes and who their beauty icons are. The conversation was wrapped up by alluding to new product launches from both women’s beauty brands- concealers from KKW Beauty and a magic face cream from MDNA Skin.
