Five Must-Have Jackets this Fall

By Caitlin Madden

Fall is here. It’s the time of year where the leaves change, the weather gets colder and we are bombarded with a slew pumpkin spice flavored treats. But let’s be real, the best thing about fall is the clothes. We get to wear cute sweaters, boots, scarves and lots of layers, but the best layer is always a good jacket.

Outerwear is no longer just about keeping you warm, but instead an extension of your overall style. It’s the first thing people see in the chillier months, so you might as well let it make a statement. We’ve rounded up the top five must-have jackets for this season to help you top off your fall wardrobe. So try one or try them all and you’re bound to look both cozy and cute this season.

Bomber jackets have been all the rage lately with every it-girl from Gigi Hadid and beyond, rocking them on the daily in street style pictures. This season’s stores have been putting out satin bombers with a high shine finish. This champagne one from Topshop really sparkles on top of any outfit you choose to pair it with.

Distressed Denim Jacket

Denim jackets have been making a big comeback since the 90’s revival trend started, but distressed denim has grown even more popular this season. Alexander Wang showed a few different styles for Spring 2017, but you don’t have to wait that long. Instead, you can snag one at Forever 21 right now, and it’s much less expensive.

Drapey Duster Coat

A Khloe Kardashian staple, this coat can dress up a simple pair of jeans or top off a cute body-con dress. This one from Urban Outfitters comes in both tan and black, so it can pretty much be paired with anything in your closet.
