Addison Rae, known for being one of the most popular Tiktok stars with 64.1 million followers, has just launched Item Beauty.
Addison is the co-founder and chief innovation officer of the new beauty line. It is a clean beauty line she created in collaboration with Madeby Collective.
She was inspired to create the line because her mother was a makeup artist and she used to be in competitive dance where she always had to wear bold makeup so she constantly felt like she was around makeup as she was growing up.
“When I think about beauty and what’s important to me, it’s putting something on my face that I can feel good about,” she says about the launch. This is why a top priority was having 100% cruelty-free and vegan-friendly formulas. There are currently six products, which are all formulated using a mix of botanical, plant-based extracts and dermatologist-tested, clean ingredients that are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
Item Beauty debuted with six staple products, but that’s only the beginning, according to Addison. “We have more products launching later this year,” Addison says. “I’m so excited about what the future holds. I have so many ideas.”
Along with creating a clean beauty line, she also wanted the products to be fun. “I wanted simple products that are fun and don’t take themselves too seriously,” she says. “That’s exactly the concept that Item was born out of.”
The first product is the Lash Snack in Midnight Moon. This is Addison’s favorite product, as she is known for always having long, natural lashes. The micro wand helps reach and coat every single lash, even those tiny inner corner ones, and the formula contains lash boosters, such as glycerin, castor and coconut oils.
The next item in the collection is the Lip Quip, a moisturizing lip oil made up of almond oil, camellia and shea butter that acts as a lip balm and gloss without it feeling sticky. There is only one shade, a sheer pink tint called Come Thru, but it is suitable for all skin tones.
There is one brow product called Brow Chow, which comes in warm blonde, medium blonde, natural taupe and deep brunette. It is a dual-ended brow pencil and is smudge-proof and sweat-proof. Many reviewers have said it is so easy to apply and it makes their brows look beautiful and natural.
Another product is called Cheek Money, an all in one bronzer and contour palette. This comes in two shades: Mood Vibez for light to medium skin tones and BC Off-Topic for dark to deep skin tones. The powders are both smooth and blendable and they are also infused with hemp seed oil which soothes the skin, tiger grass extract, and sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid).
The Powder Hour product from the line is a blurring powder that comes in In the Clear, Straight Fire, Tope and The Tea. It acts as a filter in real life. The formula is infused with skin-soothing and calming ingredients such as tiger grass extract, green tea and chamomile extracts. It instantly blurs imperfections, smoothes uneven texture and delivers a silky matte finish with moisturizing benefits as well. This product is also perfect to bring with you whenever you need some on the go touch-ups.
The last product is the Lid Glaze, a hydrating jelly shadow in Sunday 3am, Lunar Drop, Desert Weekend, Coin Toss and Liquid Bold. The shades range from champagne and copper to metallic purple, which you then could apply easily with your fingers, and it will stay put all day without any creasing. You can apply one coat for sheer, everyday shades, or layer on another coat or two for a bolder look.
Everything is under $22, so it is affordable and you can only get the products at the Item Beauty website.
