Some Makeup Inspiration to Tide You Over While You Self-Quarantine

During these hard days with bad news overwhelming us everywhere we look, it seems impossible to find some light and happiness. However, the best thing we can do now is to stay home, stay distant to other people, and try not to let the ceiling fall onto our heads in our small NYC apartments or rooms.

If self-quarantine has been as hard for you as it has for me, I now have a solution for you to brighten up your indoor times a little while preparing for the time you finally get out. Plus, you’ll be able to show off all the bomb looks you’ve created on social media, while staying in and saving lives!

There are many lists out there of things, you can do to keep yourself busy inside your own walls, such as reading, cleaning, home spa time… Why don’t you go ahead and try all the beauty and makeup looks you’ve been meaning to try for months now? You know, the ones you always shy away from, because you don’t want to show up to work or school looking like a clown. Or, you simply end up being too lazy to wake up early enough to get ready.

Now is the perfect time to take out all your fancy and funny, extravaganza eyeshadow palettes and try out those new you looks. And if you fail? So what, no one except your dog and your four walls will see it. And if a zoom call pops up, just turn the camera off  — you are experiencing some “technical difficulties.”

Here are our favorite looks, fun, wild, young, colorful looks!

Maddy’s Euphoria 70s inspired neon liner and bright purple shadow recreated by Rowi Singh. Bold? Yes. But a bomb look. Combine it with some neon orange shoes or handbag. Picking up one of the eyeshadow colors in the outfit is always a good idea, even if it’s just a small detail. It’ll round up the complete look.

To recreate this look; do a glittery eyeshadow primer first, then the purple eyeshadow all over the lid, and finally, the neon orange liner. Tip: wetting your brush with some water or facial spray makes the eyeshadow color more intense. Plus, Rowi has a whole tutorial for us on Instagram TV if you want to check it out!

The glitter pigment eyeliner has become viral, introduced by Zendaya on Euphoria during a hallucination scene. Since then, we cannot stop with that sparkly eye makeup, teardrop effect, under-eye liner or wing, we want it all.

Recreate the look with TodayGlitter loose glitter, this glitter is biodegradable and 100% plastic-free, it will dissolve in 30 days. So lets spread some environmental awareness and eco-friendly beauty.

Dive into dream worlds with this cute and sexy look. If you think this is too hard for you, try it and be surprised how simple it is. You don’t have to have any pro blending skills or the hands of an artist. Simply use a light pink eyeshadow with a thin wet, angled brush and draw a couple of attached half-circles. Finish the look up with some loose glitter on your eyelid, under-eye, and inner eye corner, an extra shimmery lipgloss et voilà you are about to outshine Rainbow Fish.

Selena Gomez shows off a flawless base, a matte light red lip, and a bold metallic, all-green shadow created by make-up artist Hung Vanngo. This is super simple to recreate and make you feel  like spring! It’s just stripe that green cream eyeshadow all over your lid and bam.

Alexa Demie via imdb

Alexa Demie rocks a sweet pastel blue and, of course, her classic wing eyeliner, as she said in an interview with Vogue magazine, her statement since she was little. Her mom, who is a beauty specialist, has taught her so many make-up and beauty skills, which is why she feels very confident with make-up and nowadays likes to spice up her classic wing by adding some color or fun shapes. We love it, Alexa!

Another Euphoria star, but how can’t you watch euphoria without stopping at least a 100 times to check out the fantastic makeup the shows makeup artist Doniella Davy and her team created? This color-pop makeup will for sure give you at least a smile these days (especially if it doesn’t turn out perfect on the first try!). Go for a no-makeup look for lips and base and let the eye makeup be the focus.

💥🤸🏻‍♀️THE CHEERLEADER🤸🏻‍♀️💥 the head cheerleader has to show up! I want to add that for Maddy’s more intense eye looks, we wanted to keep her brow more airy and less structured. I think it really balanced a lot of her looks. Makeup applied by me, dept head @donni.davy. I couldn’t help but include another Alexa Demie look; her eye makeups are simply too good. Whereas the previous one was pretty much for everyone from total beginner to pro, this one is definitely on the more difficult end. But good news, you have time during self-quarantine, and no one has to see your first try. For this look, blending is key to get that faded soft blended look. I’d recommend taping around the desired V shape with some scotch tape to get the sharp edges. Perfect them with a high coverage concealer with a thin applicator tip. Then apply the rhinestones around the edge to finish up this glam look. Perfect for the day bars and restaurants open up again, and you will be the showstopper.

Another rhinestone look, which should prove to you that it is time to have some in your make up drawers. Tip: they are also an excellent alternative to cover up annoying pimples, minus the stress of covering them up perfectly with concealer, which, let’s be honest, can take up to hours.

Combine the look with any metallic shadow. Finish with some rosy cheek tint and a glossy gloss.

I hope you have some fun time trying out some new looks for a new you when you finally leave that apartment again, ready to shine, sparkle, and star in the summer sun!
