Is It Ever Too Early for Halloween?

Fall is right around the corner which means it is time for sweaters, hot chocolate/cider, apple/pumpkin picking, football, scary movies and most importantly Halloween! While Fall has many other holidays one of the most popular happens to be Halloween because it is a chance to be someone else, eat tons of candy and watch as many scary movies as possible. However, Judy Gold stated “Halloween is an opportunity to be really creative,” which it is why it is never too early to start preparing.

One celebrity who always has one of the best costumes for Halloween is Heidi Klum and she even stated “I always start building my costume in the summer because it takes a long time to build things.” Some of Klum’s infamous costumes have included Cleopatra, an ape, a 95-year-old and dressing as herself with five clones. However, this year she stated “it’s going to be something scary since last year I didn’t dress up at all. So this time I’m going to have to do something crazy for me again.” It isn’t surprising that someone like Heidi Klum is always going the extra mile for her Halloween costumes because she is a judge on Project Runway and has been a model for many years now, therefore her creativity can really shine through these elaborate costumes. Klum has even stated, “I like to be creative. I don’t like to do things that have been done, and I’ve never seen anyone do this before, and so I just like to be unique.”

Students at FIT can relate to what Heidi Klum is saying because every student at this school has a creative side to them whether it is through drawing/painting, designing or even photography. It would be awesome to see the students of FIT design elaborate costumes to be put on display for the month of October so that students can practice and showcase their creativity in a different aspect. However, if you are planning on starting your costume early here are some ideas you may want to try out! The biggest costumes of 2017 are Annabelle, Game of Thrones, the Solar Eclipse, Stranger Things, Guardians of the Galaxy, It Clown, Beauty and the Beast and Wonder Woman. So have fun and be creative!
